inevitable letdown
After playing 'till dawn at the Creekside Jamboree, D'elf offered a somewhat flat and definitely tired performance in Philly. Or at least that's how I remember it, I can't say I've listened to this in a while. They opened for Drums and Tuba, and it's a rare case of D'elf getting upstaged in terms of energy and performance.
It's worth hearing to complete the "Pennsylvania tour" of that weekend, though, to get three different faces of D'elf playing with the same lineup. Also, this is the show where Micro thanks "Drums and Bass" for letting them open.. a miscue that likely did nothing to endear D'elf to the crowd.
Note that this is one example of the band going straight into the "fast" part of Fire in the Brain, and skipping the slow intro portion.
